About the cover sketch:

The cover sketch "Autumn Recital Piano" was drawn by David Erskine on the back of a program while listening to Glenn Cole Dalton perform at the Maybeck Recital Hall in Berkeley, Nov. 4, 1990. Later Dave decided to use the drawing for the cover of a tape cassette called "Autumn Recital" and he altered the portion of the pianist to more closely resemble Dave instead of Glenn. A scan of the doodles on the back of the program is below, for your amusement.
